Position Summary
The Personal Care Aide (PCA) assists clients with non-medical personal care and daily living activities in the home. PCAs support client comfort, safety, and independence while following the Plan of Care and agency policies.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Support safe mobility, transfers, and positioning. Prepare simple meals and assist with feeding as needed. Perform light housekeeping related to client care. Provide reminders for self-administered medications (no administration). Observe and report changes in client condition. Maintain required documentation and service logs. Uphold client rights, privacy, and dignity.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of agency-approved PCA training. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor. Physical ability to perform job duties safely.
Required Clearances
Criminal background check per North Carolina requirements. Health Care Personnel Registry (HCPR) clearance. TB screening and health clearance. Orientation and competency verification completion.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Position Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides hands-on personal care and supportive services to
clients in their homes, in accordance with an individualized Plan of Care. CNAs assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting dignity, safety, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
Assist clients with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Perform basic vital sign monitoring as permitted under non-medical home care regulations. Assist with safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics. Observe and report changes in client condition to supervisory staff. Provide companionship and emotional support. Maintain accurate daily care notes and documentation. Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies. Adhere to all agency policies and North Carolina regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Active CNA certification listed on the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs with or without assistance. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Provide companionship, conversation, and social interaction. Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping. Accompany clients on errands or appointments (non-medical). Perform safety monitoring and report concerns. Encourage participation in daily activities. Maintain basic service documentation. Follow agency policies and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Dependable, patient, and respectful demeanor. Ability to work independently in a client’s home.
